An AI watermark remover is a tool that takes watermarks off AI-generated images. Zilly removes two kinds of watermark: visible ones (logos, “Generated by AI” badges and caption text) using on-device inpainting, and embedded provenance metadata (C2PA, EXIF, XMP and IPTC) which it strips on export.

Zilly removes the visible watermark text and badge that apps like ChatGPT (DALL·E), Google Gemini and Sora add to generated images, and it strips their embedded C2PA metadata. It works on any raster image, so it also handles Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Firefly, Flux, Ideogram and more.

Not reliably. SynthID and similar systems embed an invisible pattern directly into the pixels, and there is no public detector to verify removal. Zilly includes an optional best-effort “wash” that lowers the odds the watermark can be read back, but we do not claim it removes SynthID — visible watermarks and metadata are what Zilly removes.

No. The app processes everything locally on your Mac using a bundled LaMa Core ML model. There are no uploads, no accounts and no cloud processing. You can even use it fully offline.

Zilly runs on any Apple silicon Mac (M1 or newer) running macOS 15 Sequoia or later. It is a native app, not a web tool.

A one-time $199 lifetime license. That includes 1 year of free minor updates and bug fixes, and you keep using the app forever. There is no subscription.

You should only use Zilly on images you own or are authorized to modify. Removing a watermark can infringe someone else’s rights or violate the terms of the tool that produced an image. Zilly is sold as a utility for your own content; complying with the law and third-party terms is your responsibility.
