Removes visible AI watermarks
Inpainting erases logos, “Generated by AI” badges and caption text so the image looks untouched — the pixels are rebuilt, not blurred.
AI Watermark Remover for macOS
Zilly erases visible AI watermarks and strips the hidden C2PA, EXIF and XMP metadata that ChatGPT, Gemini and Sora embed in your images. Everything runs on-device — no uploads, no account, no cloud.
Apple silicon · macOS 15 Sequoia or later · one-time $199 lifetime license
Every image from ChatGPT, Gemini, Sora and others ships with two kinds of marks: a visible watermark printed over the picture, and invisible provenance metadata baked into the file. Zilly removes both — cleanly, locally, and in one pass.
“Generated by AI” badges and logos that spoil the image. Zilly’s LaMa inpainting rebuilds the pixels underneath instead of blurring them.
C2PA content credentials, EXIF, XMP and IPTC that reveal how the image was made. Zilly strips them automatically on every export.
A focused macOS app that does one job extremely well — so you stop paying per-image tools and subscriptions.

Removes C2PA provenance, EXIF, XMP and IPTC — including OpenAI’s content credentials — automatically on export.
Clean a whole folder in one pass. Each image is processed one at a time, so memory stays flat even with large sets.
Runs locally with a bundled LaMa Core ML model. Your images never leave your Mac — no uploads, no account, no cloud.
Paint, ellipse, rectangle and lasso tools with zoom, pan and full undo/redo. Auto-detect suggests watermark regions for you.
Export PNG, JPEG or HEIC with quality control. Metadata is scrubbed on every write, and originals are never modified.
No uploads, no waiting on a server. It takes seconds.
Drag in a single image or a whole folder. Zilly scans it for visible watermarks and provenance metadata.
Auto-detect suggests regions, or paint over the logo with the brush. Fine-tune with zoom, undo and redo.
Click Remove. The regions are rebuilt on-device and exported with all metadata stripped — in seconds.
If it produces a raster image, Zilly can clean it — visible watermark, metadata, or both.

Metadata removal
Modern AI images carry provenance data that says how they were made. Zilly removes OpenAI’s C2PA content credentials, EXIF, XMP and IPTC from PNG, JPEG, HEIC and TIFF files — and re-checks the file after writing so nothing is left behind.

“The metadata stripping is the part I didn’t know I needed. Exports come out clean with zero extra steps.”
“Inpainting is genuinely good — no blurry smudge where the watermark used to be.”

An AI watermark remover is a tool that takes watermarks off AI-generated images. Zilly removes two kinds of watermark: visible ones (logos, “Generated by AI” badges and caption text) using on-device inpainting, and embedded provenance metadata (C2PA, EXIF, XMP and IPTC) which it strips on export.
Zilly removes the visible watermark text and badge that apps like ChatGPT (DALL·E), Google Gemini and Sora add to generated images, and it strips their embedded C2PA metadata. It works on any raster image, so it also handles Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Firefly, Flux, Ideogram and more.
Not reliably. SynthID and similar systems embed an invisible pattern directly into the pixels, and there is no public detector to verify removal. Zilly includes an optional best-effort “wash” that lowers the odds the watermark can be read back, but we do not claim it removes SynthID — visible watermarks and metadata are what Zilly removes.
No. The app processes everything locally on your Mac using a bundled LaMa Core ML model. There are no uploads, no accounts and no cloud processing. You can even use it fully offline.
Zilly runs on any Apple silicon Mac (M1 or newer) running macOS 15 Sequoia or later. It is a native app, not a web tool.
